I'm 36 and have 2 boards 1 freestyle with hard loud wheels for tricks and skateparks and a bigger Powell(GraffitiRipper) board with soft quiet wheels for cruising ruffer concrete and ditches. My bigger board can do all the same things a long board can plus tricks. I see longboarders skate by with helmets and knee pads wobbiling back and forth and all the girls laugh and then they see me on a real skateboard and their mouths drop open and then smile. So its pretty obvious, longboarders suck and Skaters rule. Most long boarders are nerds! I do both of them and I'm proud of it. Longboard I use for boring long distance trips and shortboard I use for the fun stuff.
